Founded in 2010 following the tragic passing of Calvin Butts, The Calvin D. Butts Inc., is a family-run 501-C3 nonprofit organization.
Our mission is to honor Calvin’s legacy through primary, secondary and post secondary education by providing mentorship, enrichment programs, activities, and support for underserved youth nationwide.
CBM Scholarship.
The Calvin Butts Memorial Scholarship is dedicated to making an impact in the lives of scholars who have overcome significant circumstances and persevered through their pursuit of higher education. To date, The Calvin Butts Memorial Scholarship has awarded over 100 scholars from across the nation. The application window has officially opened for the CBMS 2022-23 School year. All graduating seniors within the United States are eligible to apply. The deadline for submission is May 1, 2023.
The Bridge Program.
The Bridge Program is designed to offer services and resources to students that wish to learn a trade following high school graduation. Through this program, we will provide graduates with scholarships for any trade that requires courses and certification fees. Once students have completed the required course, they will have immediate job placement within our team's umbrella of trades for at least one year.
